Nicholas Birmingham is an experienced CG Supervisor with credits spanning major feature films and episodic productions including Ridley Scott’s Napoleon; The Last Kingdom (Carnival Films/Netflix) and Fast X (Universal). Nicholas is a Partner of BlueBolt and is responsible for leading the studio’s creative vision as co-Creative Director.

Nicholas has been a core member of BlueBolt since 2014, when he joined as 3D Lead and was part of the team that received an Emmy nomination for Taboo (Scott Free/BBC). Since then he has overseen high-profile projects from War and Peace (BBC); five series of The Last Kingdom; seasons one and two of The Great (Hulu/MRC) to Robert Eggers’ The Northman. He recently completed production on HBO’s True Detective: Night Country. Nicholas was appointed Creative Director and joined the BlueBolt Board of Directors as a co-owner in 2023.

Prior to joining BlueBolt Nicholas spent ten years at MPC and Cinesite as CG artist and Supervisor working on feature films including Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix; Quantum of Solace (Eon Productions); Ridley Scott’s Kingdom of Heaven; Clash Of The Titans and Danny Boyle’s Sunshine.”
