Johann Dekker – DNEG

MGFX Supervisor

Johan Dekker (he/him) is a London based Motion Graphics Supervisor with 14 years experience in motion design for Feature Animation, Feature Film and Advertising. He was the Motion Graphics Supervisor at DNEG Animation for Netflix’s ‘Nimona’.

With a background in 3D motion graphics, Johan brings passion and eclectic experience to creating stunning 2D & 3D designed graphics and integrates them into a larger film canvas to aid in visual storytelling and world building.

Other key credits include DNEG Animation’s ‘Ron’s Gone Wrong’, ‘Foundation’, ’Ready Player One’, ’Pacific Rim Uprising’ and ‘Guardian’s of the Galaxy’.

Anthony Kemp – DNEG

Digital Producer

Anthony Kemp is the Digital Producer for ‘Nimona’.

He started his career over 12 years ago at Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, California. During Anthony’s 8 years with Pixar, he contributed to two shorts and five features, including ‘Inside Out’ and ‘Toy Story 4’. In 2019, Anthony moved to London to join DNEG Animation where he managed Animation on ‘Ron’s Gone Wrong’. His experience as a strategic problem-solver and dedication to bringing out the best in his teams made him the ideal captain for the ‘Nimona’ family.

Toby Seale – DNEG

Lead Animator

Toby Seale grew up in Bournemouth, UK and spent most of their free time drawing. Their obsession with animation began as a 13-year-old after a viewing of the behind the scenes of The Lion King. After that, Toby’s dad built them a makeshift lightbox and gave them a copy of The Animator’s Survival Kit. the rest is history.

Toby graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth and went on to work in children’s television at TeamTO in France, and returned to the UK to work on Guardians of the Galaxy at Framestore. Currently, Toby is a lead animator at DNEG where their credits include Nimona and the upcoming That Christmas. Toby is passionate about bringing stories to life that reflect the diversity of our society and will allow future generations to feel, seen and be understood. They also love board games and their extremely needy cat Prue.
