Ace Ruele – CAVE Academy

Founding Director – Creature Bionics

Inspired by actors such as Jim Carrey, Wesley Snipes and Andy Serkis, Ace Ruele is known for his animated and physically demanding acting abilities. From a young age, Ace was interested in becoming an action actor, but when he discovered motion and performance capture acting whilst working on the film The Legend of Tarzan, he instantly knew this was exactly what he wanted to do.

Ace has now established his name as a motion and performance capture actor.

He is one of the only BAME actors in the UK recognised in this field. His unorthodox creature performances have gained the respect of many who work within the VFX and CGI industry.

In 2020, Ace launched Creature Bionics, a practical effects company that specialises in developing & manufacturing, state of the art equipment for live-action, creature performance within the acting, entertainment industry. Since its inception, the company has worked on groundbreaking projects, such as, Lords of the Fallen, Magic the Gathering: Dawn of the Phyrexian Invasion, Transformers and more.

CAVE Academy offer speciality online and in-person training courses for studios, schools, and events. We have had the privilege to teach at the following centres of excellence: Bournemouth University, DNEG, Filmakademie, The Animation Workshop, Framestore, NextGen and Norwich University.
