Ace Ruele
Inspired by actors such as Jim Carrey, Wesley Snipes and Andy Serkis, Ace Ruele is known for his animated and physically demanding acting abilities. From a young age, Ace was interested in becoming an action actor, but when he discovered motion and performance capture acting whilst working on the film The Legend of Tarzan, he instantly knew this was exactly what he wanted to do.

Ace has now established his name as a motion and performance capture actor.

He is one of the only BAME actors in the UK recognised in this field. His unorthodox creature performances have gained the respect of many who work within the VFX and CGI industry.

In 2020, Ace launched Creature Bionics, a practical effects company that specialises in developing & manufacturing, state of the art equipment for live-action, creature performance within the acting, entertainment industry. Since its inception, the company has worked on groundbreaking projects, such as, Lords of the Fallen, Magic the Gathering: Dawn of the Phyrexian Invasion, Transformers and more.

Masterclass title: Acting for Animators

During this masterclass, Ace Ruele of Creature Bionics will discuss topics such as creating the back story and the psychology of your character, the importance of understanding the anatomy and physiology of your character. He will then move on to study reference, adding your own spin and then finally becoming and embodying the character.

Whether you are an actor, mocap performer, animator or a rigging artist, this session will dig deep to pull out your inner creature.
