Description of event:
Lois van Baarle, otherwise known by her nickname Loish, is a digital artist and animator. She was born in the Netherlands but lived all over the world throughout her childhood, returning to the Netherlands in 2005 to study animation at the Utrecht School of the Arts.
She has been working as a freelance artist and animator since 2009, creating concept art and character designs for animations, games and toy designs. She has worked for LEGO, Guerrilla Games, Amazon, and many more. She has accumulated over a million followers on her social media accounts. She also shares knowledge about digital art and drawing through workshops, tutorials, live demonstrations, lectures and books.

Workshop
The workshop will contain technical tips on sketching digitally, choosing colours, rendering and digital painting, considering both the theory and philosophy of successful image generation.
Presentation
Explain theory, tips and techniques with a slide presentation. An entire digital workflow from early sketch to finished piece.
Live Demo
Demonstrate the techniques with a live demonstration, where students can ask questions.
Portfolio Review
20-30mins given to portfolio review of delegates work.
Audience Skill Level
Beginner to Intermediate knowledge, although a few expert tips would be understood and valued.
Photoshop knowledge should be expected to be Intermediate to Advanced.
