Director of Compositing - Glassworks

Duncan Malcolm has established himself as a leading VFX Supervisor and Compositor and is currently Director of Compositing at the multi award-winning VFX studio Glassworks London.

Recently alongside his commercial work, Duncan has used Flame to work closely with the creators and directors of Black Mirror creating look development and compositing on a number of episodes on the award winning Netflix series. Duncan, together with the Glassworks team, have been involved in eight episodes of Black Mirror to date including the critically acclaimed interactive episode Bandersnatch. Design and creative look development for this episode together with the epic finale of Season 4’s, Black Museum, were created and constructed by Duncan in Flame.

Duncan recently won the prestigious global Autodesk Flame Award recognising his vast contribution to the creativity and art of compositing.

Black Mirror ‘Bandersnatch’ has been nominated for a BAFTA for Special, Visual & Graphic Effects and 2 Emmys for; Best TV Movie as well as Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media Within A Scripted Program.
