Join Andrew Robertson, VFX Supervisor at DNEG, as he takes you behind the scenes of the latest series of the iconic BBC sci-fi fantasy, Doctor Who. Andrew will share insights into how DNEG’s complex visual effects helped to deliver exciting action sequences across an entire universe, in different time zones, and with multiple alien threats. He’ll dive into the creature work, environment builds, and FX simulations that brought Season 13 to life on our screens.

Andrew Robertson is a VFX Supervisor at DNEG with 20 years of experience in the film and TV industry. After graduating with a Masters in Multimedia Communications from the University of the West of Scotland, Andrew began his career specialising in Maya.

He worked as a Maya Generalist for several different London studios, including ENVY Post Production, Rushes, and Absolute Post, before joining DNEG in 2013. Andrew’s impressive filmography includes “Doctor Who Seasons 11 and 12”, ‘Altered Carbon’, “Chernobyl”, and “Black Mirror: Metalhead” for which he received a 2018 VES Nomination for Outstanding Animated Character In An Episode Or Real-Time Project.

Most recently, Andrew was VFX Supervisor on “Doctor Who Season 13”.
