Iloura, the team behind the visual effects for Mad Max: Fury Road have been confirmed as a speaker for the BFX Festival 2015.
Iloura is an animation and visual effects studio based in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia and have produced the effects behind films such as Ted, Wolverine and The Great Gatsby.
Members of the team are flying to Bournemouth from Australia to talk about all aspects of the film, particularly its effects.
George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road is the fourth instalment staring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron and is screened in 3D. It’s the first instalment in the new series made famous by Gibson in three films released between 1979 and 1985.
The BFX Festival, now in its third year, celebrates the best of animation, visual effects and gaming. From 28 September to 4 October festival goers can learn, experience and see ‘behind the scenes’ all that goes on to create worldwide blockbusters. Aimed at students, professionals and hobbyists, the festival consists of screenings, presentations, workshops and a careers hub, with more films and games to be confirmed soon.
