BFX Finalists 2014
Sponsored by Next Limit Technologies
Over 100 talented individuals from 10 UK HEI’s applied for a coveted spot in this 7-week battle to be hosted by the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) at Bournemouth University (BU) and the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB).
The quality of submissions by all the applicants was excellent and the amount of commitment shown by the teams was nothing short of extraordinary, particularly as many of them where undertaking major projects and exams at the time. With the help of industry experts from, Double Negative, Glassworks, Outpost VFX, MPC, D’Arblay Films/Hibbert Ralph Animation and Creative Skillset as well as academics from the NCCA and AUB; we shortlisted this to the 8 teams seen below.
Thanks once again to everyone who applied; and of course our industry partners and sponsor Next Limit for making this competition a reality. Enjoy the team pitches of our final contestants.
“We are delighted to be involved once again with such a great event. BFX now occupies an important place on the VFX calendar as a platform for promoting and showcasing the industry’s future talent.”
