Scott Pritchard, a 2D Sequence Supervisor from ILM will speak at BFX Core 2015
Scott Pritchard from Industrial Light and Magic will speak as part of BFX Core: he’ll be presenting on Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Scott Pritchard has over 13 years’ experience in the visual effects industry working on many blockbuster films including Inception, Captain Phillips, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America and was the recipient of a VES award for ‘Outstanding Compositing in a Feature Motion Picture’.
For the making of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Scott Pritchard from Industrial Light & Magic’s London studio will discuss what went on behind-the-scenes, from animation to visual effects teams and the technologies and processes.
One of the initial hires to ILM’s new London facility, Scott has recently worked on visual effects sequences for this summer’s hit Marvel release, Avengers: Age of Ultron.
In late 2014 ILM opened its London studio with Creative Director, Ben Morris and Executive in Charge of Production, Sue Lyster at the helm. With increasing numbers of blockbuster films shooting in the UK, opening a London studio was a natural step in ILM’s global expansion.
Opening with a slate of films such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Spectre and Star Wars: The Force Awakens the new studio immediately rose to the challenge and has been turning out awe-inspiring imagery ever since.
The studio also hosts the UK office of the renowned ILM Art Department with renowned Art Director, Kevin Jenkins leading the effort.
As with each of ILM’s studios, ILM London is a full service studio contributing everything from initial concepts through visual effects production and final delivery.
